My doctor tells me I only need to lose 10 pounds to be out of the "obese" category, but I'll still be in the "overweight" category. I am 181 now, I have been for 3 years, since I gave up digging for a desk job. It must've happened gradually... I bought a ton of clothes, all size 10, when I decided that I would find a desk job, you know, a job with regular hours and reliable benefits and steady pay, etc. The kind you have to dress up for, rather than just making sure you had a floppy hat and long sleeves and gloves to keep the bugs and sun off. (Man, I wish I was an Archaeologist!)
Anyway, back to my point. I bought all these office clothes and I only really have to wear them for meetings and conferences. So a three day conference comes up and I have to buy all new clothes!! I'm a size 14 now. It's very sad. I would like to be a size 10 again. That's all I want. To wear all those damn clothes I bought.
And since I'm getting married August 30th, it would be nice to be a size 10 when I'm making my dress. So August 1st is my deadline. And if not that, to at least not be "obese" anymore.
So to clarify my goal, by August 1, I want to EITHER weigh 160 pounds (or less) or be wear an Old Navy size 10.
