Garden Fertility Spell

After preparing your garden, but before planting anything, during the first quarter of the moon, when the sliver has just appeared, and during a fertile sign, take three leaves each of bay laurel, comfrey and lavender stalks and wrap them 'round with strands of your own hair. (If your hair is short, tie them with a green string and tuck bits of your hair into it.)

Say, "By the light of the moon do I take this piece of Earth into my loving care. I ask that this land be blessed by the fragrance of this holy plant. May all that I plant here flourish and bloom, absorbing the power of Earth, Sun and Moon."

Bury your bundle of leaves and hair in the center of your garden, preferably at the roots of the first plant you wish to plant, which should be one that you think is going to be the largest or the focal point of the garden. Alternatively, bury the charm beneath a large stone or ornamental statue that you are going to keep in the garden indefinitely.
